\nThe glass was poured into a mold and worked and signed while still in a liquid state. A specific bronze alloy enabled the artist Lothar Klute to forge the bronze. The glass was produced using a special melting process and custom-fitted to the table.

\nLothar Klute\u2019s signature is stamped \u201cK2001\u201d on the bronze and \u201cKlute\u201d on the glass.

\n\u201cThe glass objects are placed in the cooling oven at 550 degrees and allowed to cool over a period of up to 14 days to relieve the internal stresses in the glass.\u201d
\nOnly then can one determine whether the casting was successful. All traces of the manufacturing process\u2014such as inclusions, dull spots, bubbles, and streaks\u2014are an authentic expression of traditional craftsmanship. Free-form glass casting ensures an appealing look and feel.\u201d

\nIn general, it can be said that all of Lothar Klute\u2019s pieces are one-of-a-kind. Although most pieces of furniture come in several variations, unlike a cast bronze object\u2014which is always produced identically from a single mold\u2014Lothar Klute\u2019s individual pieces are unique due to the artisanal process of forging and are therefore one-of-a-kind works of art.

\nThe Lothar Klute studio had about five employees, and as a result, only a few pieces were produced over the years.
