\n\u201cThe glass objects are placed in the annealing oven at 550 degrees and cooled over a period of up to 14 days to relieve the stresses within the glass. Only then can it be determined whether the casting was successful. All traces of the manufacturing process\u2014such as inclusions, matte areas, bubbles, and streaks\u2014are an authentic expression of traditional craftsmanship. The free-form glass casting ensures an appealing look and feel.\u201d

\nIn general, it can be said that all of Lothar Klute\u2019s objects are one-of-a-kind. While most pieces of furniture are available in several versions, unlike a cast bronze object\u2014which always emerges identically from a mold\u2014Lothar Klute\u2019s individual objects differ due to the artisanal process of forging and are therefore unique pieces of art.

\nThe Lothar Klute studio had about five employees, and as a result, only a few pieces were created over the years.
