\nThe glass was produced using a specific melting process, poured into a mold, and worked and signed while still in its liquid state. It was specially tailored to fit the table.

\nBy using a specific bronze alloy, the artist Lothar Klute was able to forge the bronze.
\n
\nLothar Klute\u2019s signature, \u201cK04,\u201d is stamped into the bronze, and the glass bears the signature \u201cKlute\u201d.

\n\u201cThe glass objects are placed in the cooling oven at 550 degrees and allowed to cool over a period of up to 14 days to relieve the internal stresses in the glass. Only then can it be determined whether the casting was successful. All traces of the manufacturing process\u2014such as inclusions, matte areas, bubbles, and streaks\u2014are an authentic expression of traditional craftsmanship. The free-form glass casting ensures an appealing look and feel.\u201d

\nIn general, it can be said that all of Lothar Klute\u2019s objects are one-of-a-kind. Although most pieces of furniture come in several variations, unlike a cast bronze object\u2014which is always produced identically from a single mold\u2014Lothar Klute\u2019s individual pieces differ due to the artisanal process of forging and are therefore unique works of art.

\nThe Lothar Klute studio had about five employees, and as a result, only a few pieces were produced over the years.
