First known mention of the stool comes from the book by Jacques Barsac “Charlotte Perriand, l’oeuvre complète. vol 3, p. 319”.
Here the stool is pictured in Charlotte Perriand’s office in Paris with backrest.

Furthermore, a hand-drawn plan of the stool with backrest. Inscribed Atelier Jean Prouvé.
This plan is available for inspection.
Also the stool is named in “Jean Prouvé Complete Works – Peter Sulzer (vol 3, p. 258)”.
The stool offered here is the example of originally two stools.
The first one was auctioned on November 2nd, 2022 through Philips in London.
