Table lamp model No. 576, Alexander Rodtschenko, edited by Arteluce Milano, 1971, aluminiumsheet with black shrinkage varnish; the lamp design is based of an constructive woodsculpture from the famous Russian avantgardist, suprematist and constructivist Alexander Rodtschenko from the early 1920er. Germano Celant the famous italian art criticism, curator and art historian encouraged Gino Sarfatti with the idea to realize lamps based of the constructiv models of Rodtschenko. After the aquiescence of the widow from Rodtschenko they realized the two models 576 and 577 in a very small edition. Both are illustrated in the Arteluce catalogues from the early seventies. 1974 this model is illustrated at the cover at one issue from Casa Vogue! Wrinkle finish aluminum (10529-10/11).
