Black painted cast iron base.

Small cut to the paper at the bottom edge.

 

Signature:

Early moon-sun signature.

In the base “Made in Japan”.

On the fixing screws of the shade holder “Made in Japan”.

Rare Akari lamp by the American-Japanese artist Isamu Noguchi.

It comes from the private property of the owner of the former Düsseldorf-based and world-famous restaurant Kikaku.

He had acquired it in the early 1960s in Japan.
